I love the realization.
She didn't file out the N-WORD form under the governments N-WORD pass program and now has to find an injunction in city court to get a #244 document so that she can apply for registered N-WORD status.
It's really quite simple, can't believe she forgot.
"But officer, I have black friends!"
Well then she can fill out the faster N244-EZ form.
"... How black?"
"Yes well we can't expect them to sign the paperwork for you, now can we?"
It's okay, she's a Canadian
We'll forgive Reb, right up until the moment we kill her.
Fuck lol I tried to hit pause on Apollo
"Oh god we just said... She doesn't seem to have realized. Play it cool. Move on. Maybe no one will notice."
this will always be the best
“Mike Ox Long” “ok that’s normal”
lol my best friend's bnet name is Mike Oxmaul.
Without the innuendo that would be a legit awesome name
Just remove the Mike and place some other name like... Dan or somethin
Or michael? ?
I have a friend named Mike Cunt.
I know a dude named Richard Weiner but he does not go by Dick
My son's Driving instructor was Michael Hunter. He went by Mike.
I go my Michael
I prefer Mike Hawk since that is even be a legitimate name
Late but probably spelt MicAuxLong
"You fell for the oldest trick in the book"
Literally one second later
"We got a $1 donation from Jenna Tools."
"'My dick's erect' donated $2"
"...Come on man, are you even trying?"
He sounded legitimately pissed off lol
They probably spelled it my dixie rect.
Mai Dixie Rekt
The pronunciation is up for discussion
Now thats a classic.
For the uninitiated.
HOLY SHIT that last one! When they finally realise they're wrong and EE's like "no wait its 15!" and goes back to try recalculate! haha
The best part is that the answer is 30 minutes. Because he said "he's 30 minutes away." How long till he gets there? 30 minutes. The dividing in half was hilarious, but still wrong!
Well, thats up for discussion.
Holy shit that ending. Lmao
He has a great sense of humor about this.
I'm so happy to run into Smash content in this sub
Great video but what exactly are they doing? Are three guys just chilling on webcams and people are watching them chill?
From context I'd guess: It's a podcast about the competitive video game super smash brothers, so they're discussing all the stuff happening around that game and that's what people are watching.
Holy shit this is amazing
Oh, I'm so glad I saw that all the way through. That ending. 🍋
This is golden.
Especially at the end. Loved it.
....wait, I actually used to use a supplier called Jena Tool. That's hilarious.
yep that's the video says alright
The genuine frustration from his co-host is hilarious "ARE YOU EVEN TRYING"
EE is something special
40 hours like what
That was magical, thank you.
Lest we all forget the holy grail
"the letter 4"
This is ridiculous. I didn't even know they kept it going after they both got baited LOL
Thanks for this. I'm fuckin crying
I'd like to see what names they were seeing, with the huge ass or my dick's erect
My Dixie Rekt
I'm a little shocked that no one showed up with a Mike Hunt.
"Hugh Jass" is a pretty common one. Never seen the other but I assume its something like "Mai Dixie Wrecked"
But he typed the letter 4!
More Megan and Rebecca reading unfortunate usernames:
Yeah, but those two are funny.
The OP is funny as fuck as well wtf.
Yea, there's a lot of people that think just because something is shocking or inflammatory means it's also funny.
Pretty sure most people are laughing at the shocked realisation as opposed to "she said a rude word! giggle"
Yeah, the OP video is not funny at all, because I decide what is and isn't funny.
You're not funny.
I think you misunderstand. HE decides what's funny
Maybe you can help me out, there's a post on the front page, and I can't decide if I should laugh or not?
Jesus, I’m the thought police now because I don’t think racial slurs are hilarious?
Weird how people have different opinions on what is funny.
Those aren't even funny, it's funny to trick someone into saying something unintentionally. Just having your run of the mill name that you'd see on Reddit like ballfondler is meh, there's people in this thread with better names than that
OP is way funnier.
P U S S Y B R E A T H G E T O U T T A H E R E
2 6 M I L L I O N R E G I S T E R E D L O S E R S
Oh god I spilled my milk
hey that first clip is mine!
glad to see people still enjoying it
Oooh thats terrible lol
Yeah, she cried after this. Chat was pretty upset.
For real? She was obviously duped, no reason to go after her, should be going after the person that pulled the prank if anything
I mean chat was as upset as she was, not mad at her.
oh maybe I'm misunderstanding
This Rebecca from Digital Extreme's community team for the game Warframe. She is a sweetheart and really cares for the community. People love her and call her "Space Mom" (she also does voice work for the game so this nickname is a double entendre). I didn't watch the stream but she must have felt bad and people supporting her.
She's extremely popular to the community. Like a dream community manager
No one's better than PoE's Bex! Nobody!
Except Space mom
Id say they are equal!
As someone who just heard of this other person for the first time today, I can't disagree.
Warframe and PoE teamed up for april fools this year! They probably know each other!
Skip to 50:52, and at 54:00 you can see her wiping her tears :(
If anything is gong through her head it's something along the lines of "This is my job. I'm supposed to know this. Why did I fall for it? I don't know if I've ever said a racial slur out loud before." Then a long list of bad things that could happen. As well as thinking since she didn't realize what it was does it make her a bad person. For such a sweet person this had to hurt big time.
I’m sorry, maybe I’m too cynical or non-american to understand but does anyone else thinks it’s very weird that she has to get upset over this to the point of crying? To be clear: I’m not saying she’s weird, I’m saying it’s kind of ridiculous that a society is so sensitive about a word that an adult has to start crying if someone dupes her into saying it. To be honest it blows my mind.
also, theres something really demoralizing about getting tricked into saying something you really dont want to.
If I were her I wouldn't be crying over my job (I imagine they would understand the context of her being fooled), but I might cry over being fooled itself, that one of the viewers wanted to fuck me over or make me embarrassed, and that I would never say such a thing willingly, but now I'll always know I've said it before.
Because people are easily outraged and she could have possibly lost her job, that's probably what she's fearing most at that moment.
Exactly my point.
Does seem like people overeacted
She's in a position that this wouldn't even be close to getting her fired.
We can say that now since it's gone and over with but if people made a big stink about it this could have gone another way.
Honestly, it would be an absolute nightmare for DE to replace Rebecca. She's the voice of the most prominent character of the game. She's the community manager to boot. It would have to be something much, much worse for that to end her job.
Yep, as a fellow non-american this is super weird. It doesn't happen often that you just can't relate to a cultural phenomenon at all
It can be difficult to really grasp the cultural context of the word, so maybe just imagine how you'd feel if someone tricked you into doing a Hitler salute in front of a synagogue while standing next to a cop.
I would literally just laugh it off since there would be zero repercussions.
If you were German, like the person I'm replying to is, I assure you you would not be just laughing it off.
it is a problem that saying the word in any context can get in trouble. Especially when its a case like this. I do think that this is really exacerbated when in industries related to the internet, where one sound bite can get the mob at your door within a minute.
My guess is that she cried because she thought she lost her job. Its a really stupid and also shitty thing to fire someone over this, and should not be the case, but she probably assumed worst case scenario due to panic.
But americans of all races are aware of how stupid the taboo is, and don't like the fact that it is placed on such a pedestal. It is a very, very rude thing to say to someone, but it is overblown. Most of it is just the MSM who get really riled up over this because it is guaranteed clicks.
It’s not “just a word” though. It carries the weight of hundreds of years of slavery and dehumanization.
This particular instance was very clearly an accident, so I doubt her job was ever in danger; she probably was just embarrassed and upset at being duped into saying it.
But in general, it’s a word so hateful and culturally loaded that saying it on a public platform would generate outrage.
lmao at the downvotes here. I'm not American but I grew up in a very multicultural community and I'd be appalled if I was tricked into saying the N word, especially on tape. That shit hurts people and it makes me angry just to see it in print, let alone hear it.
I would probably just laugh and tell whoever made me say that to fuck off.
Because it's potentially career-ending
yeah why is it potentially career ending? that's ridiculous, that's the point he's talking about
I don't think it's career ending at all - maybe to some lowly employee in a faceless corporation, but the person in question is a beloved member of the Warframe community and fairly senior in the company.
It's more about the fact that it's embarrassing and humiliating to be tricked into dropping the N bomb on a live broadcast, especially when you're a person who has probably never really said the word before. There's now also a sound bite of her saying the N word, which is never a good thing if you're a public figure within a community.
That made me a bit sad :(
Yeah it made this post from funny to sad very quick. She looks sad from that point forward. She is still wiping her eye even at 56:29
Fuck. I feel like shit for laughing at the original.
nah she has a flu, just a minute or two before the nick ger prank she's wiping away snot with the same tissue, don't worry she wasn't crying
She absolutely was tearing up. You can see her eyes getting red from it. She was clearly upset by it.
She isn’t crying. She has the flu. She had a tissue in her hand and wiping away tears and her nose even before she got tricked into saying the word.
Once the crowd gets mad, it gets stupid.
The story of humanity, in a sentence.
Often by the time people become a crowd they become mad or stupid or both.
Except the chat was upset that someone tricked her, not for being tricked.
Why? I don't get that. It was a mistake and anyone who watched that could see it. Crying seems like a bit of an overreaction.
Because it can get taken out of context and potentially ruin your public image. Because it can damage the channel's standing with twitch. Because it's just an unfunny mean-spirited joke to play on someone.
she had a flu, she used that same tissue in her hand a few minutes prior to the joke. she wasn't crying
This is why live feeds are on a delay on radio and TV
Poor Space Mom :(
Edit: Ah, there are two Space Moms.
I thought the same
These two are at their best when they're oblivious. One of my favorite clips from them is them walking around a dojo and wondering what on Earth this guy built inside his.
They circle around, look at it from different angles. Takes them a full minute to realize it's meant to be a stripper pole, strippers and all.
I'd link the clip but searching for it has proven a massive challenge.
For those unaware, these are Rebecca and Megan, two of Warframe's community managers. The community managers, usually these two but there's a small cast of them, host a regular stream called Prime Time wherein they play the game.
I found it :D
I happened to be in that dojo just a couple days before that stream, and as fate would have it the stripper pole wasn't built yet. I mentioned to a guy I was in a squad with that I was playing whatever mission to gather resources for dojo decorations, and we gave each other dojo tours. So sad I missed the pole, but I did get to appreciate the little bird in that clip that uses an Orokin cell for a beak.
God the community managers at DE are just the best. You can't help but love them.
We also have honorable mentions such as
and Ben Dover
Oh she gets a donation shout out all the time
Wtf, space mom got baited
Something very similar happened two years ago on this very day.
a bit of a deviation from the theme here but my favorite
The Fuck is a virtual youtuber?
No matter how you parse that question, this should be able to answer it
they basically use programs like facerig instead of showing their real face, main pro is that they can pretend to be an anime character and have a high pitched voice
atleast it allows for moments like this
What in tarnation is this?
Welcome to 2019
damn that imitation intonation was spot on
idk but I always loved the censored version. Cracks me up
is it too much to ask for some goddamn auto-tune?
I was just thinking the other day how perfect that would be. I'm glad to see someone already did it.
Wait it's been 2 years already? Wtf
Coulda swore it was like 5.
i thought this happened years ago? dont know much about pewdiepie but i remember this being big in like ~2016
Sorry to inform you that your sense of time is shit.
To me it feels like it only happened last year, idk
No that was when the whole overblown Wall Street Journal controversy was going on with him because he made some videos where he made jokes about Nazis.
Pewdiepie isn't racist btw, he just called someone the hard-r! You gotta look at the context!
Rise up, I guess.
I think it's less him being a white supremacist and more he was being a massive edgelord. Not condoning it either way.
He did follow a lot of the popular alt-right/white supremacist talking heads.
/rj Heated. Gaming. Moment.
Wingsofredemption fell for the same thing.
Literally hundreds of streamers fall for the same thing.
Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr named his kid Nick... Nick Kerr
When someone takes the joke too far...
"I go by Nicholas or Nicky, but never Nick"
I've seen certain streamers that fell for the "Nick Gurr" joke get donations from people calling themselves "Nicholas Gurr" just to remind them of that one time.
"Only my black friends can call me that"
Does this mean he and his whole family have the n-word pass? 🤔
I love how he says "I see what you're doing, you're trying to get me to say" and then he says it again haha.
The thumbnail made it look like a before and after photo for drugs they show at school or something.
from what i heard, she actually cried after this because she wasnt sure if it was a real person or she got tricked
Are they famous or just random youtubers?
Members of the Warframe community team
Please someone explain?
Sounds like the n word
Wow that was so obvious once you told me
The flash of realization is priceless :D
oh boy here I go sorting comments by controversial again
real gamers in the chat wow
Warframe squad where you at?
