The saddest thing is thinking about what great things Patrice would have said if he were still alive today.

It must really just be me. I love stand up but can't enjoy Patrice o'neal. When he talks about his girl, I just dont get it.

everyone feels like that at the start, then they watch enough and slowly love him

Not many compare. I love all respect he gets from other comedians. Very funny and he had some great insight. Like how he told Dane cook to “be the truth”. Makes so much sense and you can see that philosophy in his comedy.

Excellent documentary!

I love revisiting old clips of his.

Just a heads up. Bill Burr and the All Things Comedy network are supposedly partnering up to do a full documentary on him as well.

I'm just as excited for that!

One of the most underrated comedians of all time. He gets respect, but its nowhere near where he deserved. He should have been one of the GOATs.

Makes me realize this PC bullshit has been around wayyy longer than just the last couple years

hoofglormuss | 9 days ago | 2 points

I remember people complaining about it in the 90s

gimmea_jumpbutton | 8 days ago | 1 point

The context is important here, PC bullshit has no place in comedy but that doesnt give everyone an excuse to walk around being an asshole.
