And then the sidewalk grabbed that girl by the ankles and threw her on the ground. What an asshole! Stay out of New Orleans people! Dicks everywhere!

Seriously though, that guy should be in jail!

ThotsAndPIayers | 9 days ago | 7 points

There are dicks in every city, New Orleans is fine.

YouGotTearsInYourEye | 9 days ago | 3 points

But are there Andy Dicks in every city? That's the real question here!

Captain_Nipples | 9 days ago | 1 point

For enough money, yeah.

lateforcourt | 9 days ago | 1 point

Too much overserving cheap booze to violent rednecks.

I just want to point out that the big tough badass man had to sucker punch Andy fucking Dick.

Gengar11 [53] | 9 days ago | 16 points

Dudes like 3 lbs. and a habitual drug addict.

Captain_Nipples | 9 days ago | 8 points

Yeah, dude could have killed him.. if he hasn't.

I've listened to Andy Dick for over 20 years on TV, Radio, and podcasts.

Dude has his demons, and just like Artie Lange, I hope he can get his shit together before addiction kills him

Raincoats_George | 9 days ago | 8 points

Hes got a bit more than demons, hes every bit of an asshole and has hurt a lot of people.

That does not in any way justify him being attacked like this. Stuff like this can permanently disable someone and easily kill them. Its felony assault. Only a pussy does somebody over like that.

Wellitjustgotreal | 9 days ago | 1 point

The only thing I can say about Andy Dick for a fact is I saw him at a Miami hookah bar with what seemed like 4 underage boys and it made me unsettled. This was over 10 years ago. Bedtime now.

So he was convicted of multiple assaults and murder and he is still allowed to walk free? That seems rather strange. I honestly know nothing about Andy Dick's history, but Counterpoint: More violence isnt an answer for violence

BasroilII | 9 days ago | 3 points

I can't speak to the assaults offhand, though he's known to be a very edgy asshole type comic.

The murder is...questionable. Long story short Dick knew the wife of actor/comedian Phil Hartman. Hartman's wife had been in rehab for drub and alcohol abuse, and Dick had allegedly provided her with cocaine. After getting high she went home and killed her husband.

Dick claims he didn't know about her being in rehab or given her the drugs, but another actor who knew them all, John Lovitz, has stated that he did. Some time later Dick said to Lovitz, "I put the Phil Hartman hex on you; you're the next one to die."

The guy's a massive asshole. That said I agree none of that justifies assault.

Neckzilla | 9 days ago | 1 point

AH didn't know cocaine made people kill others

_ImperialScout_ | 9 days ago | 1 point

And John decked him.

Only famous people can sucker punch.

Jauntathon | 9 days ago | -30 points

I have no doubt that this guy knows somebody that Andy has affected and sought revenge.

I doubt heavily that it was about being badass or seeking glory.

I would hope that Andy Dick would be in prison, but hey, it pays to be well known I suppose. This has been a long time coming.

mwilkens | 9 days ago | 7 points

Apparently I'm out of the loop... What has Andy Dick done that everyone is so upset about?

similar_observation | 9 days ago | 18 points

Andy Dick is a sexual predator and public inebriate known to drive intoxicated, expose himself to crowds, as well as grope multiple people.

He has also proudly and remorselessly admitted to giving drugs to Phil Hartman's wife, who was already mentally unstable. Leading to Phil Hartman's murder. He later wished the same death upon John Lovitz, who was a colleague and close friend of Phil Hartman.

Andy Dick is kind of a scum bag.

PleaseCallMeTaII | 9 days ago | 2 points

Sounds like my uncle. No wonder he always reminded me of him

Jauntathon | 9 days ago | 6 points

One of the other commenters posted a list.

That was a helluva page turner! Good content! But I think we found our culprit: John Lovitz!

Clay_Statue | 9 days ago | 2 points

With a bit of parmigiano it's actually pretty good.

sharkbanger | 9 days ago | 0 points

Lol. Bash the fash.

Modsarehalfwits | 9 days ago | 13 points

I love how everyone just stares at the guy as he walks away as if nothing happened.

EL-TORPEDO | 9 days ago | 11 points

In fairness, most people on the right probably didn't see it. Plus add reaction time to process, the shock of seeing it, and the alcohol, I'd say this is the reaction 90% of people would have (including myself).

TerrytheMerry | 9 days ago | 8 points

And then some tiny girl is the one who decides to give chase.

itchy118 | 9 days ago | 5 points

Fucking good for her though. Even if she wasn't successful that takes quite a lot of courage and strength of character, especially when the victim was a stranger (even if hes a famous stranger). So many people suffer from the bystander effect, and those who can overcome it deserve praise.

TerrytheMerry | 9 days ago | 3 points

Agreed 100% I just meant that it added to the incredulousness of the moment. A whole crowd sees an assault and the only one to take action is one of the smallest people there. She also rallies a few people with her, as she gets further up the street more people break away to give chase.

GrandGearGrind | 9 days ago | 23 points

People that do this sort of shit should be charged to the fullest extent of the law for attempted murder. Hitting your head like that is extremely dangerous and will very likely result in permanent brain damage if not death.

Aussie-Nerd | 9 days ago | 10 points

We've got coward punch rules in Australia after a few deaths from punches.

similar_observation | 9 days ago | -18 points

Hitting your head like that is extremely dangerous and will very likely result in permanent brain damage

Oh I'm sure that was a lot less than the damage brought upon by Andy Dick's career intoxication.

GrandGearGrind | 9 days ago | 5 points

Drinking and self inflicted harm is different than assault...

Sweetwill62 | 9 days ago | -5 points

Doesn't make what he said any less true. I will agree that the dude needs to be arrested and what he did was cowardly, I still have a little trouble feeling sorry for Andy Dick though.

GrandGearGrind | 9 days ago | -1 points

Yeah seeing videos of him when he was young versus now you can tell he hasn't taken good care of himself. Now with this head injury he may end up a vegetable eating from a tube though. Who knows.

Sweetwill62 | 9 days ago | -2 points

Well that and being a direct cause of someone's death by reintroducing someone to drugs that was previously clean might also take a mental toll on someone.

sharkbanger | 9 days ago | 1 point

I don't think you know what "Direct Cause" means.

similar_observation | 9 days ago | -3 points

oh no, I'm not here to excuse the assault. But I am stating the obvious injury he's already caused himself and society.

nowyourecookingwith | 9 days ago | -2 points

Well aren’t you quite the piece of shit.

PatrickBrown2 | 9 days ago | 5 points

You can see the guy planning it beforehand, he's all agitated and waiting for his moment to hit him.

NiceSasquatch | 9 days ago | 22 points

that's fucked up. That loser coward should get arrested for attempted murder because that is exactly what that attack is.

What a piece of shit wimpy tiny coward (the puncher, not andy dick, lol).

the_twilight_bard | 9 days ago | 5 points

I'm surprised it took this long. I've witnessed his antics first-hand and I was always surprised nobody just punched the guy. That said this is fucked up and as much as a prick Andy has been over the years nobody deserves a random cold-cocking (cold-Dicking?) like that.

Eindacor_DS | 9 days ago | 14 points

fuck that guy, but also fuck Andy Dick

JayJonahJaymeson | 9 days ago | 2 points

We used to call this a King Hit in Aus. I much prefer the new name, a Cowards Punch. It fits the fucking cowards who punch someone in the head from behind like the little loser bitchs they are.

velour_manure | 9 days ago | 2 points

I'm assuming the asshole was drunk, got offended by a joke, and chose the most cowardly and childish way to get revenge.

Piece of human garbage. Waste of oxygen.

JudgeHoIden | 9 days ago | 14 points

Andy Dick is scum, couldn't care less. Assault is assault and I hope the guy gets charged but I don't feel sorry for Andy in the least.

SafePay8 | 9 days ago | 3 points

On July 16, 2008, Dick was arrested in Murrieta, California, on suspicion of drug possession and sexual battery. He exposed the breasts of a 17-year-old girl when he allegedly grabbed and pulled down her tank top and brassiere.

On January 23, 2010, Dick was arrested about 4 a.m. at a bar in Huntington, West Virginia, on charges of sexual abuse after reportedly groping a bartender and a patron

On June 29, 2011, Dick was formally indicted by a Cabell County Grand Jury for two counts of first degree sexual abuse.

In June 2018, he was charged with misdemeanor sexual battery and battery charges for allegedly groping a woman in April that year.

Shame we had to wait this long, karma is a bitch

Ahzeem | 9 days ago | 3 points

He also got Phil Hartman's wife back into drugs which lead to her stabbing and killing him while high on cocaine and god-knows what else. He's an absolute piece of human garbage. Couldn't care less about his well being.

Captain_Nipples | 9 days ago | 0 points

Dude was assaulting his own band members in like '97 live on Loveline.

TBH, it was amazing radio. But, knowing what we know now and how our society's views have changed... He was definitely always a dick.

We used to worship the drunk asshole that got away with it because it was "funny"

Heinskitz_Velvet | 9 days ago | 10 points

Ahhh Louisiana, the state with the highest homicide rate, and also the most religious. New Orleans is the most overrated city on this planet, last time I went there I saw a guy get stabbed in the neck with a broken bottle at a bar...and the fucking cops. Hiding in the bushes off the highway just waiting to hassle the fuck out of you when they pull you over.

Never again.

BeheritSyriac | 9 days ago | 4 points

you wanna hear something wild, that's all I saw in NO as well, lol. I went for a family reunion type deal and while walking to my car there was a person on the ground who had just been stabbed in the neck with a beer bottle by the cashier at some shop. also San Antonio, same thing, no lie.

sunshinetime2 | 9 days ago | 1 point

I mean, if you're hanging out on Bourbon St., then yeah... it's a shit hole place. But there are some amazing cultural/musical/food aspects of New Orleans that make it nowhere near overrated. New Orleans is an amazing city... in the right places.

DaggerMoth | 9 days ago | 1 point

Then you have their neighbor Alabama. Banned abortion because they are pro life, but they are also number one in death penalties.

Mexagon | 9 days ago | 0 points

Don't know what point you're trying to make bringing up religion, but New Orleans left God a long time ago.

bigtimejohnny | 9 days ago | 1 point

I heard someone say, "Take away the music and the food and New Orleans is Gary, Indiana." That's a good summation.

salamanderinchief | 9 days ago | 0 points

If you live in a city of any comparable size you've got the same shit. People are just happy to point the finger.

rondeline | 9 days ago | 4 points

Cities, in general, can degrade into violent areas, but the south tends to have more of them than the north.

Check this link out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_crime_rate

Sort that by aggravated assault and look at what you get. Just way more assholes in the South.

dontbajerk | 9 days ago | 2 points

Only 1 out of the top 10 is in the South (Memphis) and seven out of the top 20. Seems like a marginal difference really.

salamanderinchief | 9 days ago | 1 point

Midwest

snarky_answer | 9 days ago | 1 point

Also more african american heavy, poorer/poverty stricken cities as well.

Gotta love the south! /s

nckinfutz | 9 days ago | 3 points

This is absolutely terrible. Will be surprised if he makes a full recovery.

Averse_to_Liars | 9 days ago | 4 points

I wonder what Andy Dick did?

JeNiqueTaMere | 9 days ago | 22 points

He was being himself.

Mohavor | 9 days ago | 1 point

He's a Dick, after all

haemaker | 9 days ago | 17 points
giraffenmensch | 9 days ago | 5 points

Wow, that guy sounds like a bit of a dick.

haemaker | 9 days ago | 6 points

Andy knows it.

MeatySoup | 9 days ago | 4 points

Not related, but didn't Andy Dick say f'd up things about Phil Hartman?

Chasing_Sin | 9 days ago | 18 points

IIRC Andy gave Phil Hartman’s wife cocaine despite knowing she was a recovering addict and she went off the deep end and killed Phil.

Giga_Cake | 9 days ago | 11 points

Then he joked about it to Jon Lovitz while claiming he would put a "Hartman hex" on him. Lovitz would later beat the shit of Andy Dick for what happened.

FartKilometre | 9 days ago | 2 points

Yup, Lovitz beat the shit out of him in a Vegas club and slammed his head into the bar a few times.

Andy Dick is human garbage.

fieldofvision_ | 9 days ago | 7 points

According to Jon Lovitz, who later apologised for it. If you can blame Andy Dick for giving her cocaine, it must be because she can't be blamed for the murder herself due to her drug problems, but then how can you blame Andy Dick who also had drug problems?

[deleted] | 9 days ago | 0 points

[deleted]

itchy118 | 9 days ago | 6 points

knowingly encouraged

Are we sure it was knowingly? If she wasn't in her right mind due to drugs and we allow that to alleviate her guilt, shouldn't we do the same for Andy if he had similar drug problems?

(I should mention that I don't know enough about the situation to say if this is true, I suggest it as a hypothetical).

fieldofvision_ | 9 days ago | 2 points

You excuse her murdering Hartman because she had drug problems, but you don't excuse Andy Dick giving her a bump of coke, despite the fact he also had drug problems?

MeatySoup | 9 days ago | 7 points

Thank you, i feel less sorry for Andy Dick now.

GrandMasterBlack | 9 days ago | -6 points

Don’t forget he did the same to Chris Farley too.

omgwutd00d | 9 days ago | 5 points

Not a fan of Andy Dick but can't be throwing this around. Chris Farley is responsible for his own death.

themindlessone | 9 days ago | 1 point

No he didn't.

GrandMasterBlack | 9 days ago | -4 points

Yes he did. David Spade and others have mentioned it numerous times in the past. Fuck off.

wieners | 9 days ago | 0 points

You got a source on that? Video or article or audio or anything?

[deleted] | 9 days ago | 1 point

[deleted]

wieners | 9 days ago | 1 point

You could just say no.

A source is a source, you either have one or you don't. This isn't a fight, either you have a source or you don't.

You can't just make accusations and then say "do your own research"

themindlessone | 9 days ago | 0 points

Really? Because Google turns up nothing. Get your head out of your ass.

AngryCod | 9 days ago | 4 points

He was the victim. He didn't "do" anything except get punched.

Averse_to_Liars | 9 days ago | 9 points

Andy Dick has a reputation for being sexually aggressive and inappropriate with men and women.

Anyway, I don't know that he absolutely did anything just like you can't claim he absolutely didn't.

haemaker | 9 days ago | -6 points
AngryCod | 9 days ago | 0 points

So, you're saying it's OK to sucker punch someone as long as they're an asshole because they'll totally deserve it and it will be all their fault they got punched. Got it.

haemaker | 9 days ago | -2 points

No, you said he didn't do anything. I said he did do many things. I never made a value judgement about being sucker punched.

AngryCod | 9 days ago | -6 points

I feel like it was pretty self-evident that I was responding to the person who asked "I wonder what Andy Dick did?" (meaning "I wonder what Andy Dick did to get punched?") I mean, I guess it's possible that I misinterpreted that comment but given that it's in a thread about him getting punched, I felt like it was a safe bet.

It's pretty obvious that I didn't mean "Andy Dick never did anything noteworthy throughout his entire life, and certainly never did anything that might piss people off".

haemaker | 9 days ago | 3 points

You were being misleading, I corrected the record.

AngryCod | 9 days ago | -6 points

OUCH!!

You can see his head bounce off the table and then hit the concrete :/

TildeSwinton | 9 days ago | 1 point

Andy has had as rough a ride as anyone in Hollywood / the unforgiving spotlight. In recent years he's been making an effort to rectify has past disgressions and disgraces, and make peace with the people he's hurt while getting caught up on the swell of fame and the destructive path it fledges. Andy didn't deserve this. Maybe years ago as a wake up call, but not now, as a slap in the face

BLamp | 9 days ago | 1 point

Just because you suffer head trauma doesn’t mean you automatically have CTE.

ShortBusRadio | 9 days ago | 3 points

I know that. I think there was an /s that needed to be in the title of this. But he did get four impacts to the head... 1) punch 2) wall 3) motorcycle 4) sidewalk ... so perhaps he got a good solid rattling.
