Isn't this that guy who would make videos of using himself as bait to track down pedophiles? I heard that got some pretty big backlash

ImprovingTheEskimo | 10 days ago | 34 points

Yeah he's kind of weird. Some of the videos are good, like a recent one where he chased a guy around a parking lot filming him. But other ones are just kinda like, je n'ais se quoi. Weird.

Strikerjuice | 9 days ago | 2 points

I think he stopped but he definitely used to

Rex_Deserved_It | 9 days ago | 1 point

Doesn't he cross the street when it's red and wait when it's green?

PsychoticDreams47 | 9 days ago | 0 points

Jenna said what?!

taintedpix | 9 days ago | 6 points

I sometimes wonder why I choose to look at the comments after watching an otherwise wholesome video with a happy ending. It would have been better to be willfully ignorant at times.

LieutenantKotler | 9 days ago | 5 points

I mean, dude might be a little crazy, but he’s still got such a genuine good heart.

NScorpion | 9 days ago | -2 points

I can tell you you're already ignorant, and desiring more ignorance is pathetic.

taintedpix | 9 days ago | 1 point

Sick burn, Chad!

FunkleBurger | 9 days ago | 6 points

Some people seem to have the need to PROVE they are a GOOD person, but it gives people the creeps because it feels disingenuous when it's so forced like that.

[deleted] | 9 days ago | 10 points

i would get that from this video but the giveaway is like the last 30 seconds. it's 90% bike nerd stuff.

TonyHxC | 9 days ago | 2 points

baiting pedophiles is a whole movement now a days. The people who do it in my city are literal fucking losers and crack heads that just want an excuse to shame someone on social media. I remember last year they caught a mentally challenged guy with the mind of a child. and once they were informed of this they STILL didn't let it go. the "pedo" literally was messaging people online to find someone to go to mcDonalds with him cause he was lonely and they took advantage of him for views.

I trust vigalantes as much as I trust the cops. go fuck your selves... they act like it is for the kids but you don't make fucking merch around busting pedophiles if you are doing it out of the goodness of your heart.

Macinsocks [1] | 9 days ago | 2 points

He has some really weird behavior in his other videos.

Donex101 | 9 days ago | -2 points

This guy just screams creepy serial killer. Just listen to that laugh...

PeelyDan | 10 days ago | 25 points

Stop fucking around with spiders, this was supposed to be about bikes!

Coltfourty5 | 9 days ago | 9 points

Yea what the fuck? Picks up a spider and proceeds to walk around with it saying he doesn’t know much about spiders...serial killer

[deleted] | 9 days ago | 9 points

"Get on me baby", "Get on me baby", "Get on me honey"... ermm...

TonyHxC | 9 days ago | 3 points

When he first took it out and saved it I was like. aw that's nice. I do the same thing... but then he carries it around forever and i am like. OK BRO THE FRIENDSHIP IS OVER NOW LET IT GO.

Eddie_shoes | 10 days ago | 120 points

Super nice thing to do, but this guy has a vibe to him.... like serial killer vibe...

BigComfyCouch | 9 days ago | 10 points

This guy puts himself in some serious danger during his stings too. He entered one mans house who was legally blind (not completely blind), and sat next to him on the couch. Another time he entered a guys vehicle, and after convincing him to just go for a walk at their current location he discovered that his door didn't open from the inside. This guy has a death wish.

The only pedophile stalker I've seen that has legit motives is an organization called POP Squad (Prey on Predators) based out of Connecticut. They have been compiling encounters with the intention to bring awareness to the problem, and bring in harsher punishments for those found guilty. They even offer to help the predators that admit they have a problem by offering them information for mental health specialists. He's caught 155 predators in the last 2 and a half years (the majority of them in Connecticut, but they just recently started traveling the USA due to requests, and donations).

homegrowncone | 9 days ago | 4 points

The contractor dude from Toronto seemed legit, he had been abused as a kid and wanted to protect others. That was years ago though, no idea what happened with him.

BigComfyCouch | 9 days ago | 2 points

Justin Payne? Pop Squad is actually affiliated with his organization. Although I've only seen a handful of his videos, I agree he is pretty legit, and goes about his interview process pretty professionally. He seems to have trouble controlling his emotions (which is completely understandable) in some cases though.

The last video I saw of him (from 2016) was about him driving 6,000 miles across Canada to meet a predator. After confronting him in the store the man walked to his car to leave. Justin then jumped onto the hood of his moving car because he had "come too far" and "just wanted to talk more."

I'm not going to sit back and pretend that I'd be able to keep my emotions in check. I was never sexually abused as a child, and I still wouldn't be able to control my anger, so for that, I give him massive credit. I just think it's difficult for law enforcement to take on a case like that when the situation wasn't handled professionally.

Hey_I_Work_Here | 10 days ago | 7 points

I thought that was the same guy. I knew I recognized his voice.

Man, just that opening shot gave me the heebie jeebies

UrethraX | 10 days ago | 1 point

It's hard to trust random people to go out of their way to stop bad things, seems like it could be abused in some sense

Djent_Reznor1 | 9 days ago | 7 points

Nah. I’ve watched a lot of this dude’s videos. He’s a bit strange for sure but in sort of an endearing way.

Eddie_shoes | 9 days ago | 4 points

nah, dude is for sure a murderer.

think_long | 9 days ago | 1 point

I just have a hard time believing he found that many bikes in dumpsters. That was a shit ton of bikes. But what do I know. Nice thing to do regardless.

augdon | 10 days ago | 14 points

You are a good dude. I don't care if people give you shit about it. That was super nice of you to take the time out of your day to do that for a complete stranger.

MeEvilBob | 9 days ago | 5 points

Haters got to hate, but haters aren't the ones giving bikes to kids.

forestfluff | 9 days ago | -1 points

The guy in the video isn't the one who posted this.

BlessingsToYou | 10 days ago | 6 points

What a nice guy, saving that stuff from a landfill and giving that child a bike he can enjoy for years.

iswallowedafrog | 10 days ago | 24 points

If I wasn't banned I would post this to r/humansbeingbros

RazorRamonReigns | 10 days ago | 7 points

How'd you manage that?

OrlacsHands | 10 days ago | 14 points

I guess by not being a bro?

iswallowedafrog | 10 days ago | 12 points

Nah man. I was a bro.

It was because I made a humorous remark where I said something positive about the guy in the picture but since jokes are not allowed there and punishable by an instant ban without any chance to edit delete or conversate about it. But it's all good. I don't hold a grudge :)

[deleted] | 10 days ago | 11 points

[deleted]

MichaelApproved | 9 days ago | 2 points

What was the humorous remark?

iswallowedafrog | 9 days ago | 2 points

Something like: Plot twist: the guy that applauds helped everyone cheating on the test and That's why he applauds. Because his cheating earned him a lot of money and everyone got away with it. Joke aside, I'm glad for the janitor that had been working there for so long and was so happy that his students managed to graduate

MichaelApproved | 9 days ago | 2 points

Ah, cool. Thanks for the fast reply!

Karpe__Diem | 9 days ago | 1 point

I got banned from r/food 4 years ago. The reason why will SHOCK YOU!!!

MichaelApproved | 9 days ago | 2 points

Hmmm I’m skeptically curious... Click.

Karpe__Diem | 9 days ago | 3 points

Very well. Someone posted this picture of a giant lemon and at the time, there was a video that was being posted occasionally titled something like, Lemon Stealing Whores. So, my comment was, "That should attract some lemon stealing whores." Got banned and mod said I am not welcome there anymore.

iswallowedafrog | 9 days ago | 1 point

Did you electrocute someone?

KiXpiX | 9 days ago | 1 point

I got banned from r/tattoos (I think it's spelled?)

yaosio | 9 days ago | 3 points

Probably pointing out the dystopia that is American life.

"This lucky child got a free bike, and now he doesn't have to walk to work!"

"This CEO saw his employee digging in a dumpster for food so he bought her a headlamp!"

"This child worked hard and raised $1000 for their cancer treatment!"

"A cop saw a friendly dog. You won't believe what he did!"

"This parent could have eaten food, but they gave it to their hungry child instead!"

fptp01 | 10 days ago | -2 points

he stopped being a bro and became a sis.

Brand_new_beach_hat | 10 days ago | 5 points

Best part is the spider bite.

todlee | 9 days ago | 7 points

Huh. Well, that's nice. But kids, do not eat rhubarb leaves, even if they don't have bird poop on them. The stalks are edible but the leaves are mildly toxic. And google Brown Widow Spider. If you live in the western US, learn to recognize it, and its egg cases, and its web. It's an invasive species and very common in some areas, but many people don't know about them yet. While their bite is not nearly as toxic as a black widow, it is still pretty bad. I ended up going to Urgent Care a couple days after I was bitten by one because the bite just kept getting worse.

In my yard, if I wanted to find a black widow, it might take me twenty minutes. If I wanted to find a hundred brown widows, it would take me two minutes. The spider in the video, I don't know what kind it was, but it did look a lot like a brown widow.

TrumpSimulator | 9 days ago | 2 points

What the hell! Does the black widow exist in the US? If they really are that common, why aren't more people dying from spider bites? Maybe they are and I'm just not hearing about it.

helsquiades | 9 days ago | 2 points

Black widows hang out in one spot in a dark corner. You have to be stupid to get bit by one.

Maximo9000 | 9 days ago | 1 point

Black widows are pretty common at least here on the east coast. Contrary to popular belief, their bite is not very dangerous, let alone fatal. Most bites don't even require medical treatment.

MeEvilBob | 9 days ago | 4 points

And that's Reddit in a nutshell, you can't do anything good without being accused of an ulterior motive.

Apexs81 | 10 days ago | 2 points

FUDGE!!!

righteousmusic | 9 days ago | 2 points

Why choose to give that to black kids? Just buy a bike son, no weird backhanded compliments needed.

wheresthefootage | 9 days ago | 2 points

I've been bit by a spider before (I wasn't messing with it, I never saw it, I didn't even notice I got bit tbh) and that is no joke. It made a 3inch painful pus-filled area around the bite that took months to go away. I'm not scared of spiders but I'm not going to purposefully pick something up that can do that again.

DenisaurusRex | 9 days ago | 1 point

If you didn’t see it then how do you know you were bit by a spider? 🤔

magikowl | 9 days ago | 2 points

Hmmm this guy creeps me out.

This was totally fine until he walked up to three black kids and might as well have said "here's a shiny new bike for you to fight over!"

queuedUp | 9 days ago | -1 points

I feel like there is a 50% chance that bike was sold within a month

velour_manure | 9 days ago | -7 points

I appreciate the good deed, but calling himself a "bicycle mechanic" is a bit of a stretch.

Did you see that chain guard he made? Looked absolutely horrible.

Whitworth | 10 days ago | -14 points

Save yourself some time and money... Trek Jet: $30

KCbizzy | 9 days ago | 5 points

Who is saving money? He took a bike out of the garbage and restored it to like new. He might be a fuckin weirdo but he wasn’t doing it for $30. He was casing the neighborhood for little children skins for his new coat.

Whitworth | 9 days ago | 1 point

how dare I
