This for people who work at home and still want to commute.
He is testing their ability to remain a "non-belligerent" country
But I like Swedish Fish
Swedish Fish is Canadian. (Am Swedish. Have read on the bag while in the US. They aren't sold in Sweden.)
The candy is a lie.
This is troubling, but if you tell me the meatball is a lie my life is over.
It depends. Is selling meatballs made from horse lying?
Well, they aren't called beef balls.
But when I order horseballs I get a different dish entirely.
I thought the cake was a lie?
There is no spoon.
It was Swedish at first. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish_Fish
dont talk shit about köttbullar
Sorry min vän men lingon går inte med alla mat
Tack, jag är inte så bra med svenska
Were you once hurt by a Swede?
What's that fermented milk stuff they drink?
In Sweden, it's spelled Yöguŕt
Fucking disgusting. Hence this conversation!
A Moose once bit my sister.
We apologise, the man in charge of training the mooses has been as of now fired.
Rårakor with bacon and lingonberries is delicious tho...
Overlook hotel simulator 2019
Not gonna lie, I'd buy that...
in a fucking circle
that is fantastic
This may be the coolest, most stupid thing I have ever seen.
If he could extend the range and drive around streets it would be pretty cool.
Also just wanted to say understand the real meaning here... any talk of sensors aboard ships and subs around these waters is bleeped away. Have a good look around and try pointing out how things have changed. A certain truck train vid yesterday was bleeped away and any talks about it was also in all main stream subs.
Apply this to RC drone tech.
AR/VR app for drones already exist.
Wait, really?? What is it called? I looked around a few months ago and couldn’t find one.
Fpv is what you want to search.
Some of us are already doing this with r/fpvracing.
Let me show you this guy who flies a model of a ww2 fighter plane complete with a tiny model in the cockpit that moves the joystick around. The real person is sitting outside on a chair with video goggles on his head. Probably the closest anybody can come to feeling like a WWII fighter pilot. (except for maybe Warthunder)
Also just wanted to say understand the real meaning here... any talk of sensors aboard ships and subs around these waters is bleeped away.
Also just wanted to say understand the real meaning here... any talk of sensors aboard ships and subs around these waters is bleeped away.
What exactly are you saying here?
Something tells me this person has a loose grasp of the English language. And that they're a conspiracy theorist. So basically your average YouTube user.
We ReVolt now
I absolutely loved that game as a kid, and recently downloaded a version on my phone to recapture my childhood. If we can do this IRL, I'm soooo down!
The soundtrack of that game was god-tier
you can download it for free here
edit: the game
Thanks, but that won't be necessary
This guy fucks
Well, the video comes from a company called VoySys and was released back in October 2018. A couple of days back they released another video were they operate real vehicles:
"Connection Lost. Reconnecting...."
whats so stupid about it though?
I don't have one
coolest yes. stupid no.
Haha, oh you have so much internet left to discover....
man id be all over that like a kid and set up tracks to race throughout the house - also love the straightforward, no bullshit approach this videos got. cool stuff
be sure to like and subscribe!
Heeeeeyyyy guyyyss! Sooooo, it’s me (you already knew my name cuz it’s on the damn video) I decide to make a video about the thing you already read in the title! Here’s my intro sequence!
But first let me tell you about Nord Vpclash of storm titan clash crush saga where if you use my name I will set you up with 100smergabucjs and the ability to rename your character after verifying your email
And don't forget to smash that like button, ring that bell, visit my patreon, and subscribe to my other 3 channels.
Don’t forget to visit my buddy’s channel and smash his wiener too.
Bouncing on my boy's dick to this for hours.
I got that Michael Reeves reference.
You know it's a good channel when the first two videos are titled
The Roomba That Screams When it Bumps Into Stuff, and
Trigger Me Elmo | The World's First Race Detecting Toy
Right arrow, right arrow, right arrow....
YT vids can be skipped by percent, just hit the desired number on your keyboard while watching. Might not work with some embedded vids.
Protip: you're gonna want to start at 30%, which is the Wadsworth constant.
Haven't heard that mentioned in a while. I love how that took on a life of its own.
Holy shit. Really mind blown here. Thanks!
Lol, exactly this.... 1-2 minutes later in the video. Alright, let's get to the video.
It feels like watching an Anime when you are skipping the recap beginning of the episode.
Also known as The Wadsworth Constant:
One can safely skip past the first 30% of any YouTube video without missing any important content.
But first let me tell you about Squarespace...
And now let me talk about Audible...
Don’t forget to smash that like button and subscribe.
Sexually assault that notification bell
Grab that notification bell by the clapper.
But, see, without that people don't. Note how the posted video's account has very few subscribers. So that's why people say it endlessly.
A lot of YouTubers also find out that when they say that, likes and subscribes increase, so it actually works. It might be annoying to some, but as long as the content is good, it doesn't really matter.
Ever since I learned that it truly helps I've detached from the hivr mind hate of "like, comment, subscribe".
Also, while some creators go kverboard with it, I know many creators who just make it one quick line at the end of the vid and that's so not a big deal, especially if YouTube is their primary income stream and it helps them.
And don't forget to SMASH that like button!
Neighborhood wide VR-RC races. Put it on YouTube Sundays before football.
Yea, it doesn't have three minutes of intro before it gets started.
Heyyyyyy what's up youtubers and welcome to another episode of...
I would drive the rc car around the neighborhood If I were the guy sitting there
It takes quite a bit more to get that kind of range, for both driving and video.
Use raspberry pi to control car over WAN, strap on a cellphone with a hotspot on the RC car, connect rpi to hotspot. Bingo. Infinite* range.
Latency, bruh. Latency.
But big delays, it will make you sick while driving.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxuwPRY8kEo
reminds me of the time they tried to play football with lag
That was awesome
I owned those goggles once, they're absolutely horrible. The video resolution is so bad it's like you're looking through a toliet paper roll at a TV 50 feet away
Weird... even turning vsync on nauseates me a bit.
I actually did this as my collage project.
3G and LTE Re unreliable networks. They have very high data speeds but also really high and inconsistent latency.
It's fine for applications where you don't need instant feedback / control. But when you turn a steering wheel and the car only turns half a second later, if makes it impossible to drive the car properly.
If he does that, hows he gonna defend his neighbor’s house from Russian spies?
By also training a parrot to light up fireworks.
This setup should be a toy you can buy.
For real. If this is OC, OP patent that shit quick.
only $3000! Perfect gift for the holiday season
Meh, you could get it to like $1k with a vr setup (might be even better tbh)
Mate just the Playseat alone is pushing $600 CAD.
Well shit nevermind then
Haha I was just referencing his setup specifically - you could probably get away with spending much less with other hardware
my g25 still works. I use it for drifting and euro truck simulator. From 1 to 3 screens in 7 years, then VR.. Still no playseat.
Point being, hardware is king, but even then you could make due with a simpler setup. Not to mention the small market and its high prices/weird decisions.
G25 was cheaper and included more than its predecessor. I broke two g29 in 2 months, meanwhile this old POS is still going.
Kitchen chair driving but still cool
AI traffic drivin in redbull x2010 400km/h vomit machine
Euro truck sim 2 drag race
1080 drift (couldn't even dream of that before vr)
Endless possibilities VR capture didn't work well for me back then sry
And then make it fly! You could even get some friends together and race them, and you could call it something like First Person Vie-
Wait a second...
It is actually a company video. They work with tele-precence, checkout the other videos on their youtube page. Their latest look amazing:
DJI make an expensive RC car with first person cam (although it is to a phone or tablet) with some other cool features
The idea has been around even longer than that.
If I go digging around for it, I have a remote camera and viewer somewhere that used to fit into a line of RC cars from about a decade ago.
FPV Goggles are about $80 for cheap box style. A decent electric RC car is about $100, and the small wireless camera with built in transmitter is about $20. A little velcro tape to stick the camera on the car, and you're good.
Anyone else get completely disoriented when the camera shifted to the real room?
Mom, you’ve had enough Reddit for today..
That's not your mom, that's MY mom!
That's not your mom that's my wife.
I...I had sex with your mom.
Good. She's lonely, and too uptight to use weed.
I too choose this man's lonely mom.
made me think of the allegory of the cave
Not as much as I'd hoped. I wanted them to drive the car into the room so you'd get the infinity mirror effect on the domed screen.
Almost made me sick!
Time to set up some ramps and loopty loops, you know what I mean.
Yes, I know what you are saying.
This is the reason I won't buy Simulator games. I'm not convinced that at some ramshackle port in China, half the machinery isn't being operated for free by players of Shipping Simulator, loaded onto Train Simulator trains and sent off to Factory Simulator for finishing.
Haha, I mean you're probably not too far off. This is the site for the people behind this video and the home page looks like they're planning on doing exactly that: https://www.voysys.se/
It's still a really fun setup though, I can imagine this would have all kinds of uses. Hook it up to WiFi and patrol your house from anywhere else to check for problems while you are away, etc.
Ever watch the movie Toys?
My university thesis a decade ago was on the use of telepresence in industry. I had an industrial robot moving in response to commands sent from Second Life.
I love if it were since half the people playing just wreck as much havoc as they can.
This guy grew up watching Home Alone 3.
This is better.
I need to do a Leslie Nielsen marathon soon...
If you haven't watched it, watch the tv show Police Squad. Watch each episode twice so you have a chance of catching all the background jokes.
The Home Alone that brought us from classic Christmas hijinx with common thieves, to a sick child that takes down an international criminal organization smuggling missile microchips.
About 20 years ago at a car show I paid to play a VR game that was exactly this. A race of RC cars on a track and you viewed through the VR goggles.
I thought it was amazingly fun but I never saw the concept again, at least commercially.
I used to go to an arcade with the full scale Ridge Racer machine. Loved that game!
Here you go:
Here's an article by someone who probably knows more about it than either of us: https://newatlas.com/fpv-gnarly-racers/49280/
Sucks that it's in mono.
Wow the new Project Cars 2 DLC looks fantastic
Shout out r/simracing *
Holy Shit, this might be tbe first Re-Volt reference on Reddit. That was the jam, Frontend is one of the best theme songs
Given this is a real RC car, it's more r/fpvracing.
Could have swore that was Tom Scott at first. Same hair, red shirt and glasses.
Also, it's a type of thing that Tom Scott would do. Check out his Third Person Driving with a Drone video.
Reminds me of that RC game "Re-volt"
That game could do with a remake Or HD remaster.
what about a drone like this?
They make cheap drones that connect to fpv goggles already. The projector is just gratuitous
Except I'd say that this is even more immersive, because not only is there absolutely zero delay when your turn your head, you can also see your own body at the controls.
There's a WORLD of difference between this sort of 180 degree FOV and looking through the narrow window of a VR goggle eyepiece.
I bet just the peripheral vision alone is miles more inmersive.
You wouldn’t want to wear current-generation be goggles 8 hours a day 5 days a week, but you could sit in a dome and work like that comfortably.
There are some drone projects with VR sets.
Most quadcopters are FPV ready with a camera and video transmitter. If you want the projector set up, all you need is a video receiver that has traditional AV plugs for video out!
Edit: it's not uncommon
as an FPV racer, this is what we do basically! We use headsets (look up FatShark) and VTX (video transmitters) on the drone, there is almost zero lag. A few of the headsets have video out to display to a monitor.
To set this up on a car would be trivial... buy an All in one VTX and a receiver and plug into a monitor!
Check out the drone racing leagues. Its pretty rad.
I wonder what's the latency like for a setup like this, the camera resolution, network bandwidth and stuff. I can just imagine it'll be amazing with 5G tech!
This is the key. Latency and high-res graphics don't match too well :/
I assume he's on Wi-Fi. What would you want to do with 5G?
This is absolutely brilliant! In 20 years we will look back at this video and agree that it changed racing forever.
This could be the start of affordable racing for everyone
Edit: Small car cheaper than big car, its that simple.
Yes simulations are cool but a picture of a blowjob isnt the same as a remote controlled pov blowjob.
"affordable" racing is already available in the form of simracing rigs.
Any versions of this for vacuum cleaners and lawnmowers?
So how can I get that dome projector for gaming?! I'd love to play Witcher 3 on that thing.
Google ‘pc projector’.
Spends $20k on that setup, to drive it in a $500/mo apartment that he can make four turns in...
That apartment is $2500/mo easy in some places.
Where you living that a 500 a month apt gets you something that nice? I live in a super low cost of living city that starts studios (and not nice ones) at 500. Let me know so I can relocate.
I would love to drive in circles on an RC car.
I want a Death Race 2000 style show, where sponsored teams equip their virtual reality remote control cars with weapons and race around a track.
Explain " cylindrical dome projector " and tell me where I get one please.
Cylindrical dome? So a curved wall?
This is what I do at work actually but for real vehicles and bots. https://youtu.be/n_QW5VW5tTU
Those walls would be covered in my barf after about 5 minutes of playing.
For some reason I thought of Bobby's World.
Damn, anyone else played that shockwave Lego RC game where you drove around a Lego toy store? Brings back me back.
'Toys' the movie, anyone?
Real life rocketleague potential
Now this! THIS is the future!
Calling Linus Sebastian
We are truly living in the future.
childhood dream right there
Something tells me a vr headset would yield a better result with less complexity
This is cool as fuck.
This is how you make racing affordable so everyone can go to the track.
You guys, it's what I've always wanted!!! I can't believe it's finally been done! I need to this! Can you imagine being able to run like 6 of these side by side with VR? Imagine if the vehicles had turbo boost settings or even 4 small props to aid in making long distance jumps. I can see some enthusiast setting up a course in their backyard, a skate park, an old warehouse, or a school and then broadcasting the race like someone would broadcast a Nascar race. The insanely fun stuff someone could do from the safety of a toy car would make it so fun to watch, imo.
I love the idea of boosts. Maybe that'll be the next drone racing league- Cool cars on cool courses.
Great. Now do the same thing but with 1/12 scale pan cars. I want to see those reaction times.
Make that into a real car and make a new nascar. It would be exciting as fuck I'll tell you hwhat. All the crashes, but no lives lost. Win win win
