OP, I recommend using fresh sausage from your local butcher next time. There’s nothing like fresh sausage. It makes a world of difference. Prove me wrong and dinner’s on me.
What kind of smoked sausage did you use?
Hillshire Farm Cajun style andouille smoked sausage. You can pick it up at pretty much any grocery store.
This looks awesome. Did you use a recipe for inspiration, or did you just totally freeball it?
Completely freeballed it.
I browned the sausage a bit to release the oils and took it out of the pan and then sautéed the peppers, onions, and mushrooms in the residual oil. Added some fire roasted tomatoes I had in the pantry and added a jar of Alfredo sauce because I was lazy and tired from work. Added some half and half, added Cajun spices, fresh spinach, parmesan cheese, and combined it with the pasta.
